New Fair Housing Services For Costa Mesa!!

Equal Housing Opportunity

  • HUD requires that all jurisdictions receiving CDBG funds must "affirmatively further fair housing" pursuant to federal regulations and certifications.
  • The City is pleased to announce that it will be contracting with the Fair Housing Foundation of Long Beach (FHF). FHF will operate a phone-in service which provides practical guidance to both landlords and tenants on their rights and responsibilities to ensure the best possible results. Resolving landlord and tenant issues includes counseling and resolving, providing referrals, opening habitability cases, providing unlawful detainer assistance, responding to discrimination complaints and conducting mediations.

The new phone number for the Fair Housing Foundation is 1-800-446-3247 or 1-562-989-1206.

  • City staff will be working with FHF over the next few months to establish twice monthly walk-in service. Check back with the City's web page for further announcements.

Costa Mesa Affordable Housing List

The list is intended to assist individuals looking for affordable rental housing in the City of Costa Mesa. This list reflects multi-family affordable housing units in the City that are "Deed Restricted" ( made affordable through governmental financing ). The list may not represent 100% of the deed restricted units in City due to the limitations of gathering the information. It is simply an effort to assist you in finding an affordable unit by providing the most comprehensive list currently available.
