Brentwood Park is a neighborhood park located at 265 E. Brentwood and offers the amenities of picnic tables, walking areas and a playground. On March 16, 2007 the City purchased the adjacent property at 261 Monte Vista, for the purpose of expanding Brentwood Park. The acquired property, combined with the existing Brentwood Park, will provide a total of 2.64 acres of park space.
Due to the expanded area and the new configuration, a new Master Plan has been developed through a cooperative effort between the residents and the City. The new Master Plan was completed by a Costa Mesa landscape architecture firm and offers a coastal-themed playground, picnic shelters, pedestrian trails, exercise stations, a plant palette that complements the themed concept, and generous open lawn with contoured landforms. The park setting and landscape elements combined with ecological and sustainable features make Brentwood Park the new standard for future park development. The Brentwood Park Master Plan will be implemented in phases as funds become available.
